Remembering is Love

Things remembered are things that matter
If they happened long ago in the past,
But the good old memories linger,
I'd believe the relevance is vast.

If you remember the very first present,
You give to someone on a special day
Be it an act of kindness or real affection,
I can tell, oh something is important

But I wouldn't know if it's only the act,
That there was sweetness in your past
Or it was actually that someone that
Makes you remember that sweet deed

I wouldn't delve anymore on the cause,
What matters is you remember because
They say to remember is to learn by heart
So every memory is emotion unlocked
